Tel Aviv is the business capital of Israel and therefore the busiest and holds the largest number of singles in Israel…
Tel Aviv has a lot to offer: great beaches, lots of shops, restaurants, and sites.
You can start your trip in Tel-Aviv at the beach & boardwalk. It’s close to Jaffa (and close to the flea market) and it’s minutes walk to the city center.
To see Tel Aviv from above go up the Azriely Center (2nd highest buildings in IL, 49 floors) observatory (Tel. 03-6081179).
Recommended! If you’re in the mood for shopping, the mall holds many shops: fashion
shops, electric, supermarket, cinema, restaurants and more.

Places to visit:

  • TA beach and boardwalk
  • Kerem Hatemanim (Litteraly: Yaman’s viniard) is a quarter south aside the Carmel market. It has some nice authentic Yaman restaurants.
  • Carmel market & Bezalel Market.
    All three located around
    the Alenbi and Shenkin St. corner.
  • Shenkin St. in TA (clothes, cafes,
    books, music, tattoo’s, restaurants, public garden, etc)
  • Azrieli Center in TA (Cinemas, trendy shops, cafes, gym. A city within a city)
  • TA Museum & Beit Ariela (Art, lectures, music ensembles, etc.)
  • Jaffa Flea market (Rugs, souvenirs, clothes, jewelry, antiques, restaurants near by,

  • Edith Wolfson Park – Kikar Levana (Levana Square), an environmental sculpture by Dani Karavan. The main entrance to the park is at the intersection of Ha’Tayasim Ave. and LaGuardia Street. From the Givatayim side, the entry is from Ha’Shalom Ave. The sculpture is located in a public park that is open all day. A tall tower allows a good view over TA.
  • Ha’Yarkon Park – The biggest green park in TA, holds the Yarkon
    river, lots of grass and trees, ideal for a family visit, sport, rollerbaldes
    and more..
    Attractions are:
    Renting a boat for a quiet sail on the Yarkon river. Rollerblade and skate facilities available.
    Tenis courts, basketball as well, and more.
    1KM east, on Rokah Avenue,
    is the Luna-Park, which is an Amusement park (Roller coaster, bumping cars,

  • Old city of Jaffa
    and the Jaffa Harbor. (Walk through the narrow streets, let the ancient architecture
    tell its own story, visit the many Art galleries, souvenir shops and settle down
    in one of Jaffa’s seafood restaurants while you enjoy the sound of waves and seagulls.
  • Tel Aviv Cinematheque (2 Shprintsek St., Ha’arba’ah
    St. corner, central TA).

Hotels in Tel Aviv:

Lots of the hotels are situated along the city’s boardwalk and coast line (Ha’ Yarkon St., West TA).

Hostels:

Mostly found near the boardwalk. There is a nice central hostel in Gordon St. (Gordon Hostel)
. There is also a hostel in Dizingof square, near the Dizingof center
(A large shopping mall) and some near the Operah Building (a few meters from the beach).

Restaurants:

  • Carmela’s Soups – Meat soups | 58 Ha’etsel St., Hatikva Neighborhood, South-East TA | Tel. 03-6881414 | Open
    morning to 20 PM | thursdays until midnight.
  • Hatikva Neighborhood has many Yaman and oriental restaurants, bakeries and spice shops.
    There is a large market too.

Humus

  • Ashcara – Humus, etc – Yermiyahoo 45 St. | open 24 hours, excluding friday
    night and saturday.

Pubs/Bars:

Many bars are located in the area of Lilinblum St. , Alenbi St. (north), Shenkin St. & hayarkon
St. all though many more are scatered around the city.

  • Shoftim Bar – located at Ehven Gvirol St., Central TA: old fashioned, blues music mostly at a considerable volume. All ages, mostly 30-50.
  • Molly bloom’s – 2 Mendele St. (Hayarkon St. corner), West TA: Irish look, Irish
    music, sports channel on TV’s. Tel. 03-5221558 very close to the Tel Aviv boardwalk

  • Rotshield Ave. starts from the Bima theater, is home
    to many cafes, bistros and bars.
  • Mikes Place – Hayarkon St. (a few steps from the American embassy) Live bands every night, usually rock
    music, hebrew and english.
