Eilat is the most southern city of Israel, and is the hottest and driest city in the country. Celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1999, Eilat is a unique oasis extended on the coast of the Red Sea. Population is around 50,000 residents that live by the rhythm of the sun, the desert, the sea and nature around.
Eilat is a leading tourist location in Israel. The great advantage of a well facilitated town like Eilat is that it offers extend a wide rangeof hotels, motels and rooms to rent in town, to different recreation activities, attractions, tours, variety of restaurants and all sorts of nightlife entertainment for every person, young and old.

The Red Sea is calm and transparent (and cold!) and if you want to dive you will see it’s beautiful Coral Reefs and a rich under water life, featuring varieties of fish and other marine life forms. The inspiring tranquility of the desert around Eilat, is spectacular.

How to get to Eilat:

There are three way of getting to Eilat:

1 – Flying (Sde Dov airport). Can be fun but is’nt it a bit boring?
2 – Driving via the Arava road. When coming from north, head to Be’er Sheva city, and follow the signs to Dimona/Eilat
3- The best way which I prefer is via road 42 (enter Be’er Sheva’s main blvd, follow the signs that say “to Eilat” . When you’re about to exit th e city, don’t turn to Dimona (Even if you see to Eilat signs), but keep on driving strait (follow signs that say: Sde Boker, or Mitzpe Ramon) about 30KM until you see a turn to Mitzpe Ramon/Eilat.

If you have a few extra hours, you can stop at the ancient city of Ovdat (recommended ! and if you’re in the mood, get a ticket at the information center, and drive all the way to the top of the hill, to the ancient city) Mitze Ramon which are along the way.
