Abu-Gush is a small village situated in the Judean Hills next to the Tel Aviv – Jerusalem road#1.

Mostly known for it’s Humus it’s where many Israelis go to on Saturdays, when Jerusalem’s restaurants are taking the day off.

There are quite a few restaurants, 3 of them located on the main street and a few more good ones just around the corner. Menu is grilled meats, salads, humus’s of many kinds and combinations and Kenafe (kind of sweet cake). While eating you can enjoy the nice clear mountain air and landscape.

The Crusader Church is a nice place to visit and is known for it’s amazing

acoustics. Music events like the annual Music festival (since 1988) & other concerts and events that take place in Abu-Gosh often.

How to get there:

30 minutes from Tel Aviv, drive on road #1 to Jerusalem and the village is on to the left.
